Google Warning

Hi there

I just wanted to alert you to something Google are currently doing if you’re trying to do an Adword sales campaign on the internet. They’ve just introduced something they call a ‘Fast-Start’ whereby they help you do the marketing.

NOT a good idea. Here’s why…

A good friend of mine was having a hard time trying to make money from an Adword on this ‘fast start’ program and couldn’t figure out why. Just before he was about to abandon the whole thing, he thought he’d click on his ad to see what the actual visitor would see… and got a shock. Of course, what the visitor should have seen after clicking on this (or any) Adword is some sales info- a sales letter. Instead, the customer in this case was going straight to the order page!! Erm… no surprises there as to why sales were so low!

Why had this happened? Apparantly, because it was on this ‘fast-start’ program, some snot-nosed kid on the Google staff, after attending an hour’s class on marketing, made this change. He said, “customers don’t want all the hard-sell”. Could my friend get a refund? No. Should you use the fast-start program? You decide.

Anyway, thought I would save you some money! If you don’t know what a Google adword is, you should do as it’s a great way to make money. I’ll shortly be announcing a seminar date where I can explain more and we can meet up.

Best Regards

Jim Sheridan

Here's your trial copy

I'm handing out trial copies of the "Accelerated Internet
Wealth Video" series, and I'd like you to have one!

Let me explain...

I'm thinking of offering this set of wealth-building
videos -- where Derek Gehl and his team reveal *exactly* how
they grew $25 into $40 Million in online sales -- to all of
my customers...

... but first I want to make sure that other people can
duplicate the incredible results I got with my *own* online
business from watching them!

So here's what will happen:

1. You'll receive -- by courier -- a package containing 9 DVDs
or video tapes that lay out *in detail* the exact strategies
they've been using to earn $40,000,000 online.

2. Spend 30 days watching these live demos of their most
successful test results and case studies, and profiting
from as many of the hundreds of wealth-building strategies
as you can.

At the end of 30 days, you choose...

If you're convinced that you'll be able to make hundreds of
times more money than your competitors by using this
information, you can keep the videos!

Otherwise, just send them back.

These are the techniques Derek and his team have been using
to make $20,821 a DAY online, and they've NEVER shared them
publicly before!

You'll discover how to guarantee all your e-mail gets delivered
(and not accidentally deleted as spam)... how anyone can turn
an idea into a profitable web site with almost no up-front
cash in less than a month... how they made $2,031,959 last
year using just ONE "forgotten" marketing technique... and
much more!

But you need to move fast...

Derek is limiting the number of people who sign up, in order
to make sure there are enough trial copies for everyone!

So I'd like to encourage you to follow this link right away:

http://www.marketingtips.com/t.cgi/783618/trialseries

Good luck with the trial. The information in these videos
helped me -- and I *know* it'll help you, too!

Phil

P.S. Don't underestimate the value of the information in this
trial. Just ONE of the secrets cost Derek and his team over
2 years to learn, and cost them $100,000 in research and
expenses!

Internet Success Interviews price SLASHED

I've just found out that Neil Shearing has released a
new version of his "Internet Success Interviews" product.

Get this...he's created a new and improved version
but has SLASHED the previous price by more than half!

I REALLY don't believe Neil is offering such incredible
value... he must really want to be WAY out in front of
everyone else when it comes to offering value for money!

The actual interviews are by people who have achieved
real success online including such famous names as Jonathan
Mizel and Yanik Silver. These guys were grilled and
revealed many of their top success secrets. Neil has
also piled on the bonuses... he's even offering an
interview where he was questioned for FOUR HOURS about
how he makes hundreds of thousands of dollars online
each year! That bonus alone is worth the price of the
product... especially at the new, crazy price!

OK, you can probably tell that this new version gets
two thumbs up from me. Do yourself a favour and find
out what it really takes to succeed online... click here...

How to Make Money With Your Blog?

Ryen Kim

Make money blogging is fun: you enjoy blogging and getting money
from blogging. As long as "making money with your blog" is
concerned, it doesn't matter matter actually whether you enjoy
or not. The way generating money from blogging is the same
regardless of whether you enjoy blogging or painfully doing.

Let's get to the point.

Every business has the same process. That is, make potential
customer come to you and sell your product, service or
information. Paraphrasing it into blogging term, let the readers
come to your blog and make them click the link like "Buy now",
"Join Now", "Adsense Ads", etc.

We call readers as traffic. And about how many out of your
readers click the link refer we as conversion rate. Of course,
the higher the conversion rate, the better.

Specifically, make-money blogging follows for steps:

  • Step 1: You blog, if not, start blogging.
  • Step 2: Bring traffic to your blog.
  • Step 3: PREsell with your blog.
  • That is, your blog content attract your reader to
do some kind of action: buy your own product or go to the link
you prepared, for example. But did you notice the word
"PREsell"?. That's the most important thing in your make-money
blogging plan. Many experienced Internet marketers say that
people are not buying anything when you extensively try to sell
something. This makes sense if you recall your own experience.
Did you buy something when a blogger tried to sell something?
Maybe not! Instead, give your readers useful information and
create the warm mood by giving them the benefits of product that
you have in mind. And then, only then place a link so that your
readers click through. This is so called PREsell.

  • Step 4: Monetize: This is your final goal and the monetization has
    two streams.

-Sell your own product, service or information, if you have
    one.
-For the blogger who don't have their own product,
it's still possible to earn money from their blog thanks to the
many affiliate programs among which most popular one is "Google
Adsense". But it's just one example out of hundred affiliate
    programs. if not thousand.

In short, make-money-blogging is doing step-by-step action: that
is, you blog, bring traffic, PREsell your blog readers and
finally monetize. Without bringing traffic and achieving
PREsell, it is not possible to monetize your blog. That's why
you need to keep in mind the fact that make-money-blogging is
step-by-step action.
Due to the space limitation, I can't
explain all the detail. If you want to know more about each
step, you can read it from the article, what blog can make money?.

Free SpamCheck Tool

Spam is a bigger and bigger problem nowadays. Recently Ralph Wilson, Paul Myers, and other Net marketing gurus have written about the problems that spam is causing honest, hard working Net marketers.
Actually, while spam is the fundamental root of our problems, the anti-spam measures that large ISPs and important free e-mail hosts (like Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail) undertake are what hurts legitimate Net marketers.

Much like tuna nets catch dolphins by mistake, their spam filters catch us. So the SiteSell SpamCheck Tool is a quick way for honest marketers to make sure that their e-mails are less likely to be considered spam by ISPs, by Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail (which tosses you into their Junk folders) and even by individual filters set up by an ever-growing number of recipients around the world.

-----

Here's how it works...

STEP 1: Copy-and-paste your subject, but start your subject with the word "TEST" (without the quotes, in UPPER CASE) so that we know this is a test e-mail. (If the subject does NOT start with TEST, we'll assume it's REAL spam and delete it). Here's a sample subject...

TESTFlower-Lovers Ezine #007: Peonies for the Yukon

STEP 2: Copy-and-paste the rest of your e-zine and simply send it, exactly the way you would send it to your recipient, to...

How Much Money would it cost you

How Much Money would it cost you to regain the use of your
computer after a serious virus infection?

Richard Rossbauer

It cost one of our friends a whole lot of money, much
aggravation and lost time, lost records, and a major
inconvenience to recover from the havoc caused by the worms and
viruses that had infiltrated their computer over a period of
many months.

Actually, our friends are like so many other people who use
their computers primarily for communicating with family and
their friends by email, sharing personal pictures, playing a few
games, doing a little research now and then, making airline and
hotel reservations, and maybe even balancing their check books.

Surfing the internet for them was just a sometime thing, not
necessarily a must-do daily routine.

They were aware of computer viruses and had even heard of
firewalls. Occasionally, public comments on TV and in newspapers
about wide sweeping virus attacks with odd names like ‘MyDoom’,
‘Sasser’, and ‘Bagel’ caught their attention.

After those reported epidemics were no longer news items, they
simply put them out of mind, and resumed use of the internet.

When they purchased their computer a few years ago, it came with
virus scanning software but not a Firewall program. So, they
believed ‘they were protected’!

The general public didn’t really care about Trojan Horse dangers
then, because no one was really making an effort to inform them
of the insidious efforts of Hackers, spammers, and malcontents
who were flooding the internet with their poison.

Even today, there are computer users who believe that they don’t
need a firewall. They aren’t aware that Firewalls help stop some
of the viruses and worms that are hidden in email attachments
and other downloaded information.

They aren’t aware of the new strains and variants of worms,
adware and other spyware programs that crop up nearly daily, or
that there are over 70,000 identified computer viruses.

They aren’t aware because for the past few years, their chances
of actually being infected by a computer virus were very small,
and spyware and adware weren't even discussed in the general
news media.

Not so any longer!

Some authoritive researchers have determined that the internet
is so dangerous today, that an unprotected computer connected to
the internet is likely to become infected within 20 minutes of
going on line.

A protected computer today MUST HAVE an up-to-date Firewall
program, up-to-date virus scanning software, up dated Spyware
scanning software programs, and the latest updates from the
manufacturers of their web browsers (MicroSoft’s Internet
Explorer in particular).

Unfortunately for our friends, they were not aware that their
anti-virus program needed to be brought up to date on a regular
basis. A few years ago, maybe a monthly update would have saved
them from their virus grief.

(Actually, they had never updated their anti-virus program at
all).

The safest way today is to use anti-virus and anti-spyware
software that can be programmed to download updates
automatically from the Software providers themselves.

Also true for Firewall program updates.

Today’s major scourge, however, seems to be the rampant spread
of spyware (keyloggers, adware, malicious software known as
‘malware’, all designed to be invisible, often self
propagating).

Spyware seeks information about you and your computer-use habits
that are private and personal. It is a threat that can often
lead to loss of a person’s identity, bank accounts, reputation
and employment.

There are major efforts on an international basis to stop the
spread of SPAM (unwanted email), that has been responsible for
much of the virus epidemic.

Viruses are spread in other ways, too. Downloaded music files,
downloaded programs and information gained from Chat Room
visits, hidden worms that activate just by clicking on links in
some unsolicited emails and pop-ups, are just a few.

There are other protective tools available at no cost (FREE)
from many of the software manufacturers of Firewalls, anti-virus
and spyware searching programs. Many are included with the email
services provided by AOL, Earthlink, MSN, etc.

These are primarily Pop-up blockers and virus scanners. The
ISP’s (Internet Service Providers) also scan for and filter out
email messages that look suspicious before being passed on to
you.

Pop-up blockers, spam filters, message blockers, and other
protective defenses can be installed on everyone’s personal
computer. They are often free, or relatively inexpensive.

Our friends now know a lot more about protecting themselves from
all of the dangers lurking in the Cyber-Jungle.

To clean out their infected computer, which required a clean
wipe of their hard drive, re-installation of their Operating
System, and an updated anti-virus program, they were charged
$180.00!

Needless to say, they have increased their defenses with updated
virus-scanning software, Firewall, and spyware scanners and
cleaners.

They learned a lesson the hard way, and they’ll help their
friends avoid the problems they experienced by sharing their
story and encouraging them to get their computers up to date and
prepared for the ever increasing threats by the spammers,
hackers and virus writers.

If you use the internet regularly, a subscription to one of the
security oriented newsletters can alert you to the latest
threats and provide helpful information for maintaining a
secure, virus free computer and avoiding potential identity
theft.

The “Security Alert News Reporter” published through the
Firewalls and Virus Protection website is free, it’s distributed
about once each month and is written in an easy to understand,
non-technical style.

A few minutes browsing there now might save you many hours of
agony and grief later.

by Sharing this with a friend.)

Protecting Yourself From Affiliate Link Thieves

Stephani Richardson

So, you have worked really hard to build a fabulous affiliate
site. You took the time to add your keywords and relevant
information about the products. Your pages load quickly, and
your site is even listed in the search engines for specified
terms. You look at your stats, and you see a regular flow of
traffic coming into your site. You get really excited! You log
in to your affiliate program manager, and.... WHAMO! You have
very few commissions from sales, and your click-throughs are
extremely low. Suddenly, you are asking yourself, "what the heck
happened here??" The answer... You might possibly be the victim
of affiliate link hijacking!

In this revolving world of the Internet, we are constantly being
bombarded by spammers, spyware, viruses, and hackers. Now, we
have to worry about link hijackers stealing commissions that are
rightfully ours. So, what is link hijacking and how do you
prevent it?

In the simplest terms, link hijacking occurs when someone
replaces their affiliate ID with yours. The result? They get the
commission instead of you. You did all that work, but someone
else is getting paid? Yes! You may be wondering how this
happens. Let me explain. I first heard about this phenomenon
while visiting various discussion boards on affiliate marketing.
Many affiliates had experienced a decline in sales while their
site's traffic stats remained high. Common discussions found in
affiliate forums include various software programs which "steal"
information. Many of these programs download themselves onto a
person's computer, either knowingly or unknowingly. These
programs can override your affiliate links each time the
customer visits your site, therefore giving credit to someone
else. Many times, people download packaged programs that contain
these types of software. The innocent surfer may not even
realize they have a program running in the background. Anyone
who takes part in the Internet community, whether it be a
webmaster or a surfer, should stay informed about these programs
by visiting parasiteware.com on a regular basis.

Link hijacking comes in various forms... not just from
downloads. Let's say your affiliate link looks like this:
www.url.com/?123456 , where 123456 is your affiliate ID. A link
hijacker is interested in the product and wants to purchase it.
He also wants the affiliate commission from the product. He
takes your ID 123456 and replaces it with his ID 999999 to look
like this: www.url.com/?999999 . The result? He gets the
commission from the product purchase. He modified the link to
benefit himself. You lose.

Here is another example of link hijacking: A customer comes to
your website and sees a link to the product that he wants to
buy. When he moves the mouse over your link information, he sees
your affiliate url in the status bar of his computer. Instead of
clicking your affiliate link, he decides to manually type it
into his address bar, leaving off the affiliate referral code:
www.url.com. This results in no affiliate tracking information
and no commissions for you. You lose again!

So how much money could you be losing? I have read that an
estimated 10-30% of commissions are lost due to affiliate link
hijacking. Can you imagine the kind of potential revenue that
you might be losing right now?

Take Action by Protecting Yourself From Revenue Loss

In the constant search for new scripts and software to improve
my websites, I have run into several affiliate cloaking devices.
Most of them cost around $50 or more. However, I did run into
one cloaking script that is free. It is called Affiliate Link
Cloaker (ALC). The site owner simply asks that you subscribe to
their newsletter. By golly, I love free stuff, don't you! If you
are interested in learning about this script and how it works,
you can visit their site at
webmasterinabox.net/affiliate_link_cloaker.html . They have
other scripts that you might find useful as well. Now, get out
there and protect those links!

Blogging" For Fun & Profits

© Jim Edwards - All Rights reserved
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Unless you've been under a rock for the last year, you've
heard the term "blog" once or twice.

To most people, a "blog" simply represents a glorified
online "diary" where geeks, computer nerds, and lonely
teenagers record their thoughts in cyber-space.

However, many people don't realize that "blogs" are quietly
revolutionizing the way companies and customers interact
about everything from existing products to new ideas and
improvements in customer service.

In short, "blog" style communication has come of age and
anyone with an online business better sit up and take
notice fast!

In the beginning, "blogs" were basically an online diary to
record your thoughts; but "blogs" have now evolved into
dynamic websites that non-technical people can update
immediately without html editors or ftp programs.

Blogs allow their authors to make instant website updates
through a computer anywhere in the world with a Web browser
and Internet connection.

Blogs also allow readers to respond to the author's posts,
provide additional information, links, expanded opinions,
and more.

In short, an active "blog" creates an interactive community
with the author as the hub and the readers as the spokes of
the wheel that keep the whole cycle turning round.

Unlike traditional "static" web pages where content rarely
(if ever) changes, an active blog evolves in a state of
constant and never-ending renewal.

With blogs, smart online businesses re-discovered a
principal that small "mom and pop" stores understood for
years: know your customers and stay in close tune with
their wants, needs, and desires.

Large companies throw billions of dollars down a black hole
every year to literally "guess" what people want to buy.
Most call it the "Marketing Department."

On the flipside, smart online businesses understand that
blogs allow you to avoid guessing what's on your customers'
minds and provide an active and up-to-the-minute means for
them to tell you exactly what they do and don't like about
your services, products, and virtually any other aspect of
the market.

This lightning fast communication makes it possible for
small companies to literally snatch huge market share away
from more traditional companies.

Blogging also has a distinct advantage over traditional
email newsletters in that subscribers can get udpates
without having to receive an email message. Through the
power of RSS (real simple syndication), subscribers get
notified of updated content though an rss news reader.

Bottom Line: publishing a blog with an RSS feed that your
readers can subscribe to means your content NEVER gets
blocked by a SPAM filter.

Blog software basically comes in 2 flavors: hosted and
stand-alone. Hosted blogging solutions make it extremely
easy to get set up with a blog, often in just a couple of
minutes.

If you know how to type, you can create a blog. Log on to
Blogger.com and you can set up a blog free of charge and
start posting in just a few minutes.

Blogger.com (owned by search giant, Google) will even host
your blog on their servers.

Typepad.com, which charges as little as $4.95 per month, is
also an excellent hosted service offering additional
features that enable you to quickly get your own blog up
and running.

The alternative is stand-alone blogging software installed
on your own website.

A very popular solution is Moveable Type, available from
moveabletype.org, which provides a very versatile and
powerful suite of tools for creating a full-featured blog
to rival that of any size company in the world.

<-- Side Note -->

This is the solution I've chosen for my blog at
http://www.IGottaTellYou.com/blog/

<-- End Side Note -->

Whichever blogging solution you choose, if you plan to
successfully conduct any form of business online,
understand that a "blog" must form an integral part of your
overall plan for customer communication and interaction.
